CYTOOplates are high resolution glass-bottom microplates with thousands of adhesive micropatterns arrayed in each well.

When cells are seeded on concave micropatterns, the distribution of controlled adhesive contacts between cells and substrate induces the reproducible polarization of the cell machinery.

Cell shape, cell polarity and internal cell organization become normalized.

Standard shapes include Disc, Crossbow, H, Y and L in three sizes.

A CYTOOplate Starter's featuring different geometries is ideal to identify which micropattern works best for your assay and cell line.

Micropatterns are available in fibronectin coated (fluorescently labeled or not) or as ready-to-coat surfaces.

Single Cell Normalization

cytoo Plates Single Cell Normalization

Once cell seeding density is optimized, approximately 60 to 70% of cell population are normalized cells occupying up to 30% of micropatterns (SCORe= Single Cell Occupancy Rate). Some micropatterns are empty, some occupied by 2 or 3 cells. Normalized (single cells) can be easily identified and selected for further analysis by counting nuclei.

The Reference Cell is a unique HCA methodology allowing comparability between reproducible and standardized assays.

Adhesive protein coatings

All CYTOOplates are available as Ready-to-use or Ready-to-coat.

Ready-to-use micropatterns:

  • Fibronectin (FN)
  • FN650: Fluorescent Fibronectin (Excitation wavelength 650 nm)  for precise automated acquisition and image analysis (e.g. Reference Cell generation)

 

Ready-to-coat micropatterns:

  • Activated (A) micropatterns can be coated with a protein of your choice (Collagen, Poly-l-Lysine, Laminin, Matrigel®, antibodies etc.)
